越前打刃物坚守着古老的日本火制锻造技术和手工精细加工工艺。拥有着大约700年的历史，越前于昭和54年成为全国第一个获得国家传统工艺品指定的刀剑产地。

Echizen Uchihamono adheres to ancient Japanese smelting and handcrafted fine processing techniques. With a history of approximately 700 years, Echizen became the first cutlery production area in Japan to receive the designation of a traditional national craft in the year 1979 (Shōwa 54).
